Sony Ericsson for Gaming Mobile!

Sony Ericsson W910i

Since 2003, the N-Gage shook the world of mobile phones and gaming world. Nokia tore down the world between gaming and mobile phone usage. I had my share of the N-Gage about a year and a half ago. It was kinda like how Apple has taken over the world with iPhone currently or T-Mobile's Sidekick in the States.

But today, call me outdated, I just played with my friend, Karr's W910i. I feel they could be on to something here. Let's look at W910i. It is the "shake-music-change-phone" but now with their gaming stuff installed in their phone really wow-ed me. As we know, the W series are the walkman based and the K series are for the camera. These are the two that is running in Malaysian market like mad.

Let's forget about Sony Ericsson and the resale value, the joint venture between Sony and Ericsson has taken the world of mobile phone to brand new heights. Yes it is a joint venture and Sony didn't buy up Ericsson if that is what you guys are thinking. This all happened in 2001 (Wikipedia).

Going back to the "wow" thing with the W910i; The phone had an installed game where it uses
a ball and roll around in obstacle kinda like the game "Ballance" on mobile. It makes use of the "shake" function to actually control how the ball rolls around and how fast the ball will roll on how much you move the phone. This is like the new generation of gaming or something similiar might have been around somewhere else.

Now with the N95 being around and being hailed as the new N-Gage, the W910i could be the stepping stone for Sony Ericsson to come up with a new series which is the G-Series (not the sexual G la!!). If they are able, to keep creating games like the thing they are doing with the W910i, I could abandon my Nintendo DSi plan for the Sony Ericsson phone.

Applying physics to hand held devices and how motions and human movement could affect a certain condition in games would be a winner for gamers all around the world. Not just like Ballance it could be like Monkey Ball on N-Gage last time (my favourite game in N-Gage)

So if Sony Ericsson does read about this. A simple thanks and a courtesy of giving me the first copy of the phone would be cool.

Economic Downfall.. Everyone Scream!

Everywhere you go now. You would definitely hear a lot of talks about how bad the Malaysian Economic would be after Chinese New Year. Businesses that has relation to CNY when business blooms are facing a major decrease. Businesses like furniture and apparel. But the question is does any of this thing would affect us the youngsters whom are in college?

As we know we are surviving on a few methods of income:
  1. Allowance from parents.
  2. Part time jobs.
  3. Doing small businesses online or outside.
  4. Scholarships and sponsorships.
  5. Some are just plain outsmarting the system.
Well does any of this kinda stuff gonna affect us if the economic fall? Parents whom are able to give their kids allowance would definitely would not cut it down by a lot. Yes, if they do we still have part time jobs waiting for us.

At this moment, would what the economic is showing signs of a breaking stopping you from buying that new shoe from Nike? or that new Nokia N79 or iPhone? Maybe that K&N air filter you have been saving up for? How about having another pint when your chilling out with your friends at a pub or a lounge?  Well I guess not. Well that is for us Generation X and Generation Y. So we are kinda recession proof.

You may ask the economic people won't hire part timers to cut cost. But whom are willing to stand in a mall for 8 hours a day for a mere RM 3.80? or making coffee for RM 4.50 an hour for at least 6 hours a day? We youth would, I bet the others won't.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bankruptcy has been a common news on the pages of the newspapers. The Lehman Brothers would be the first major victim that caught the attention of the world. Then latest, Yahoo! Co-Founder, Terry Semel, stepping down; Citibank is planning for sale after having a meeting. Porsche has bought up 50% share in Volkswagon. GM, Ford, Chrysler are having problem and seeking help from the the States government and threatens if they do not get them, they would go bust and several hundreds of thousands of people losing their job.

Have you guy's ever wondered why the States government never saved the Lehmen Brothers but instead save AIG? Find out about this it would be rather interesting what AIG does in their international business.

Oh yeah, to those car owners who still have GReddy/TRUST stickers on their car, it is time to remove them. They filed for bankruptcy in September. If you do have GReddy or TRUST parts in your car treasure them. But to those with only stickers, TEAR THEM OFF! (refer)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is something most people would have known, so what am I trying to say? I say it is time for the Generation X and Generation Y to plan their financial status and how to save for rainy days. The rainy days are coming. But are we bothered about it? NAH!! I am still on route to owning a DSi. But we better be ready when we seriously join the working force cause everything comes in a very beautiful circle.

My Views On Certain Things (Part II)

As we know petrol price has dropped another RM 0.15/=. After constantly dropping of petrol prices it has gone from RM 2.75/= per liter to now RM 2.00/= per liter. The government told Malaysian that the petrol prices in Malaysia would be reviewed on a monthly basis following the market value.

Then yesterday it was told that the Government would want to maintain the price of petrol. I think it is done because petrol prices of the world dropped below US$ 60/= per barrel.

Aren't they shooting themselves in the feet? When petrol prices went up to US$ 169/= per barrel they wanted a monthly review. Now that they have went down below US$ 60/= per barrel, they want to stop it and refuse to go down lower then the previous petrol price before the rise which is RM 1.97/= per liter (I think correct me if I am wrong).

So do you think something is amiss? The petrol price hike and drop are not announced according to what they have planned by them.

1 more thing, LOWER THE PRICES OF CONSUMER GOODS!!

Back on 15 November 2008

The DIT crew consist of Raine, Sky, Roy, Vivian, Pui Ling and William plus me went all the way down to Ipoh for Lost World. Too bad we didn't take much picture that day. We were too excited to jump into the River Adventure. Here area few pictures of the trip:

Couple Wear? The Couple Behind Sleepy le..

On this trip it was my first time testing the car on a long distance drive. As you can see from the picture my Kenari and Sky's Myvi driven by Raine. After finally getting my extractor and bullet changed with the advice from Teik, the car has more top end power and killed the 3K-RPM-to-4k-RPM power lag. A 'cap ayam' strut bar was good enough to stablise the car on high speed. Even with a slightly punctured tyre I am able to keep the car running at 120km/h without much effort. Really a good car by a long run. So maybe KL during Christmas??

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh

This place has caused mass confusion between my family and I. I told them I was going to Tambun which they thought was Bukit Tambun. Why do they name two places with the same name in the first place?

About the place it was really really fun. The only problem was we went during the weekend so it was pretty much packed. Let's check out the pricing list:

Entrance : RM 25/=
Locker : RM 10/= (no refund)
Float (double) : RM 12/= + RM 3 as deposit (refundable after returning)

Though there is a package with the float, meal and "mystery gift" at RM 39.90/= (adult). It is actually more worthy if you took the package. Something we kinda regretted when we were having our lunch.

The best thing of the whole place was the River Adventure. Something you have to experience to know what it feels like it. The slides were something we didn't do cause the line was so long we refuse to wait. The system for the slides were all out. Taking turns to use a special double float to come down there were people taking it out to use it in the River Adventure instead. So they lack of floats at the end of the day.

The environment is really fun but the pools were really really dirty. There were grass in the pool and sand and other stuff that you would think, "How did this get here in the first place?"

They had roller coaster rides and "Air Panas" pool. The Air Panas pool looks very muddy but it was really nice once you get into it. I remember Sky freaking out when she got into the hot water in the end Raine had to give her a piggy ride around it.

Overall verdict: It would be great fun if you are going there with friends and family. But prepare to use Sun Block as you would have sunburns. You are allowed to go into the pool with t-shirts as well. Ratings: 7/10

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Travelling

This is not an advertisement for Shell. My car was pumped with full tank of V-Power Racing at RM 86/=. It is about RM 2.68/= per liter. The trip all the way there and around Ipoh only used up about RM 54/=. Yes true having a RM 2.68/= petrol in your car is a bit costly since now petrol price has dropped to RM 2.00/= per liter. The V-Power fuel is very smooth and really stopped my car from vibrating a lot while in gear and idle. Then when it comes to performance it is much smoother and provides more power once you press the paddle. If you are "si bak" like Teik told me, you won't feel anything. But it is this little bit that cheers up your day really.

Driving to Ipoh cost about RM 16.80/= one way. Return is another RM 16.80/= and the Bridge is RM 7/=. It is pretty much a cheap trip to go to. It just cost 4 person in a car about RM 22/= per person. It makes things all round fun, minus waiting for William aka "gin-na"'s uncle and aunt to come take us to their home.

Anyway would like to thank William's uncle and aunt to come take us out of our distress lost in Ipoh. Thanks for the "Nga Choi Kai" as well! If not it would cost us, RM 56/= for the table.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

A really cool trip down to Ipoh with them. It started at around 9 AM in the morning and we came back around 10.30PM. It is about 1 1/2 hours drive to Tambun, Perak and back another 1 1/2 hours. It love driving so I don't mind. Thanks Guys!!

The Day Filled With Eating

Planning to work out today. Skipped work today in the hope of sleeping and catching up on my sleep and yes I did get a lot of it. But in the process I ate a lot. Was suppose to be working out with Jason in the gym but I overslept (sorry bro!).

Summary of what I ate. I had 2 sandwiches for breakfast then at around 11.30 am, I had my lunch which is Chicken Rice. Then I went to bed from 12.15 pm till 2.00 pm. I woke up and I had  Mee Goreng cause I was hungry. Then I went back to bed again and slept till 4.30 pm. I woke up and had Indomie 2 packets.

At night, I went for Mix Grill with Vivien when I made her eat Potato Salad and Mushroom soup with some lamb from my Mix Grill. The Mix Grill was really good. More oriental then anything. But I like oriental stuff and that comes inclusive of girl's preference. *Winks* I came home at night and had 2 sandwiches again.

Woohoo! The calories are packing up! Burn next week!

The Broken Hearts Academy & BEDlight For BlueEYES

I have been listening to Emo/Screamo/Post-Hardcore stuff for sometime now. Since I now have a personal blog I would love to share what I currently listen to.

A band by the name of The Broken Hearts Academy is currently one of my favourites at the moment. Reason being it is emo. I can't really find the songs by this band cause I can't find their songs anywhere. My current favourite would be Next To Me. Very emo song about love and wanting someone next to him (pretty much that what emo is all about for those who wonder what emo is). Well it does represent my somehow. I want to move on in a thing that makes me sad but I am glad that every moment I am alive and I am breathing the air that I am now. Enjoy the song that I took from YouTube:

It is a different story when it came to BEDlight For BlueEYES. I have both of their albums thanks to various sources. *winks* They are as well and emo band but from their two albums which are Life on Life's Term and The Dawn. From my view the best would be their first album, "Life on Life's Term." Covering one of their best single (from my view), "Micheal".

It is an excellent album if you love rock or alternative music flowing through your veins every
once in awhile. One sad thing about this kinda music is, you can't get it on our local music stores here in Malaysia. The slightest chance of getting this sort of albums is through Music Garage. It was formerly in Prangin Mall 3rd floor but it is now closed down.

Back to the album, very special sound for a rock band. It is one of those band you won't get bored of. What can you expect from Life on Life's Term by BEDlight For BlueEYES. Well expecting it to sound like Avril's first album, Simple Plan's first album. No screams or anything that some people said it would spoil a perfectly good sound. Preview of what I mean:

If you want he album you can get it from me. Message me or something. Cheers! Thats all for now. Nitez!

James Bond and Uncle On A High!

Needless to say another day at work but I was looking forward to the evening for James Bond with my date (you know who you are). Sales was pretty good today and pocket was stuffed up ready for the night. Thanks to my brother who got the ticket for me.

Lets begin with last night. I went for a wedding dinner for a relative at Pekaka Square. Met a really crazy and wacky lady by the name of Hui Ting. A single parent but still wacky and as responsible. But the best thing for the night was a man who was drunk and went on stage to dance and sang like a mad man. I attached a video with this post. You may wanna low down your volume for this one:

My Cousins and the Wacky One In The Center
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then back to my date. I didn't had dinner but didn't want to eat saving it up for Chicago Beef at the cinema as she has already eaten. But instead went to Swensen's for ice cream.

My Nuts were in front the Strawberry is Behind. Colouration for the food is not that good..

The Macadamia Nut ice cream was excellent it was lovely. Never know Swensen's could be nice. She had Strawberry Sundae. The vanilla for the strawberry was close to excellent (excellence = Gelatino - Italian Ice Cream based from Australia). Smooth yet vanilla taste was just there to keep it real and it was not too milky. Macadamia Nut ice cream was quite good. I was not a fan of Macadamia Nut ice cream but this was served with 2 scoops of it dressed in; well the Macadamia Nuts, caramel,
toppings and whip cream. I wanted the Coite Tower but the Manager said it would taste about the same as the Strawberry Sundae she ordered so he recommended the Nuts. Total bill was RM 48.05. Expensive but at least I didn't regret over it.

Back to James Bond - Quantum Of Solace. I didn't really finished the movie as she was tired and was bored. So I took her home half way through (the part after James and Girl fell into the hole after the plane crash). But for that while it was a good movie. Provided! Your command of English is good and able to catch punch jokes. If your expecting a lot of sex and action, your better off with "Shoot 'Em Up!".  But it was a great night out with you if u weren't tired I would be having a nice evening. =)

My Views On Certain Things

Alright to complete from the last post, the question that I popped for the sign board. The problem is how is it possible to make a phone call when your trapped in a lift?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a long days work 1 thing I look forward to when I reach home, my lappy in my room. The wireless which I bought have definitely changed my online experience. Everything in the comfort of my own room.

Let's talk about Cola. Coca Cola has been taking over the market as one of the strongest selling soft drink name in the world. But people say if you put Pepsi and Coke with it's brands covered no one can tell the difference and some would even confuse them. But today I tried a different kind of Cola. I am not a big fan of soft drink and if I have to chose between soft drinks I would only go for Coke Light

Back to the different Cola, I am talking about Tesco Cola. Everyone knows that Tesco products are much low quality then any other stronger brands. The moment Tesco created their Cola, everyone said they are doomed for sure. They said it tasted really bad but I never went to try it. But today a customer gave me a can and that was the first time I tasted it. To be honest, I can't tell the difference between Coca Cola and Tesco Cola. Maybe the ardent fans of soft drinks can. Oh yeah recognize the can design between Tesco Cola and Coke's.

I am quite sure no one can tell the difference if we do the Pepsi and Coke test for Coke and Tesco Cola. Anyone wants to be my test subject?

My replica Villa jersey finally arrived today! (Original are a bit too expensive at the moment) I took a picture of the jersey from the previous 2 seasons with the current season. Yes I am an Aston Villa fan and nope, I do not hate Manchester United. I am a True Claret & Blue army. Any reason why I like Villa? Their playing style for one and the first reason I followed this particular Midlanders would be the Gareth Barry. Back then I could see he would be playing for England and yes he did. I was a little shaken when he took on MON during his due-ed transfer to Liverpool. But I am so glad he didn't leave the club but I can predict he would leave at the end of this season.

Something to ponder..

I just came back from Batu Ferringghi with Vivien after having dinner at Tari Cafe. Their Samba Burger has definitely 'jatuh standard' and Vivien said their Hot Dog Special is not so special afterall... It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be and it didn't hit the spot either. We were a little bit disappointed not a well spent RM19.20 for dinner. She got 2 pairs of ts and I got one pair which I was looking for. Have been looking for that for a long time and I found it. But there was no black for my size.

Last few weeks when I was sending things the apartment where Jeff live, I entered the lift and I saw an interesting instructions given when one is trapped in the lift. I would leave you guys with this picture and let you guys figure out what is wrong with the instructions. Think out of the box. Place it on the comment box.

Will tell you guys on the next post.

Now on a more serious note, the petrol price sky rocketed several months ago with a RM0.75 increase. Prices of products, edible or non-edible increased. Even McDonald's have increased their price so did Old Town. Then as the price gets reviewed during the past few months with a steady reduction of RM0.15 each time. Now it has gone down to only RM 2.15. Is anyone curios why the price of other things have not decreased?

My family runs a furniture store so when the moment the Government announce the petrol increase, price-increase-chain-reaction begins. Several suppliers sent faxes saying products from their company would have a 15% to 40% increase just 3 days LATER! But when the petrol price drops, nothing is dropping at all.

I studied the problem and I thought on one problem, the logistics. They are refusing to reduce their delivery charges. So the chain reaction for the price reduction of product has not started.

It is about this the price-reduction-chain-reaction to begin. Or the Government should force things to happen! Plus economic crisis by 1/4 of the year, as I predict.

Oh Yeah! Congratulations to Obama! Nicely won!

First Post

If you are here to look for a political blog from me, I have moved it off to Blog-Angry. I have decided to close that purely political blog and turn it into a personal blog about like other blogs about how someone feels and what they go through or things they wanna share. But I would still have my political views in things that is happening in Malaysia. Most important of all in Penang.

Alright on my first blog post:
  1. Why name a Cereal Killer? Rather simple idea really, first thing that pops into my head.
  2. Why do I remove my Political Blog to this? Simple answer is the political world of Malaysia is getting more and more boring due to the fact act of childishness and selfishness has deter me from keeping a blog about it. There are more things happening around me then politics.
  3. What do you expect to see on this blog? My life in a week combined, pictures taken with my K550i camera phone, views on the world.
  4.  Why would I use a .com for a blog? Well I wanna experiment on things with it. So look for improvements in the future.
  5. Can anyone paste their comment? Well give it a try on this blog.
Thats all for this post. More stuff tomorrow! Cheers!
