Has anyone every wonder if World Record makes any sense. I don't mean like those in sporting events I am specifically mentioning the Guinness World Records and Malaysia Book of Records.
Let me walk you through why I am so free to think of such thing. As I was flipping through the papers today, I saw one whole big page of the over-rated Angry Bird as Nokia's attempt to make a World Record for Most People Playing in a Mobile Phone Game Relay. In my logic, I thought world record was suppose to be something that would help people some day in the future. For example it is impossible to save the world from playing Angry Bird are we? Even if there is a war between Earth and Aliens, I personally feel a bullet is more effective then a Red Bird or An-Accelerating-Yellow-Bird-That-is-Activated-With-a-Tap. Plus why do this in Malaysia? Don't tell me Malaysians are the most number of people playing the Bird game.
Wait! We were in the top 10 largest consumer of alcohol while we are a Muslim nation. It is also where both pigs and alcohol is a taboo. Plus Angry Bird is about killing pigs and Pigs as I said is TABOO in Malaysia.
Here is the thing, records in the Guinness World Records would actually help humanity some time in the future. But instead we have this:
- Longest Distance Keeping a Table Lifted With Teeth
- Most Number of Phone Books Torn
- Longest Winning Streak on Street Fighter IV
- Fastest Time To Blow Up a Balloon With The Eye
I bet we can't save the world by lifting the table with teeth, tearing phone books, blowing balloon with eyes or WORST! Playing Street Fighter IV.
- Tallest Pencil (I bet you can't write with them. But can become a Flag Pole)
- Longest Coin Line (Who still shops with coin?)
- Most Crushed Egg With The Wrist (Good tool for the Char Koay Teow Aunty on Lorong Selamat)
- Longest Abbreviation (This is must be a joke!) which is --> S.K.O.M.K.H.P.K.J.C.D.P.W.B., the acronym for Syarikat Kerjasama Orang- Orang Melayu Kerajaan Hilir Perak Kerana Jimat Cermat Dan Pinjam-Meminjam Wang Berhad. Come on this is a joke!
=.=! Malaysia Bo-leh (Pronounced in Hokkien, Boh-le..).. only in Malaysia

The Lighter Side.. Might Be Rude but It is Funny!
